Establishment
The National Centre for Coordination of Early Warning and Response Mechanism (NCCRM) is a national early warning Centre established on 12 November 2021 responsible for providing early warning on threat to national and regional security as well as bridge the gap between early warning and response.
The Centre is to assist in the timely identification of emerging crisis in Ghana and West Africa and the implementation of improved crisis response mechanism.

Legal Framework of the Centre
The act establishing the Centre is the National Centre for Coordination of Early Warning and Response Mechanism Act, 2021 (Act 1070).
Strategic Object
The objects of the Centre are to assist the ECOWAS Commission in the:
– Timely identification of emerging crisis in the west Africa sub-Region.
– Implementation of an improved crisis response mechanism.
Vision
The vision of the NCCRM is to operate as a national strategic centre of excellence
thst shall inform decision-making in response to crisis in Ghana and West Africa.
NCCRM
The National Centre for Coordination of Early Warning and Response Mechanism in Ghana is established by law to coordinate and manage early warning systems and response mechanisms, with a focus on identifying and responding to emerging crises.
